Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,
says Yahweh of Hosts. Zechariah 4:6
Lift up your heads, O gates, and be lifted up, O ancient doors,
That the King of Glory may come in! Who is this King of Glory?
Yahweh of Hosts: He is the King of Glory. Psalm 24:9-10
BACKGROUND NOTE: 1 and 2 Chronicles cover the same time period as 2 Samuel and 1 and 2 Kings. However, 1 and 2 Chronicles are not a mere repetition. While 2 Samuel and 1 and 2 Kings give a political history of Israel and Judah, 1 and 2 Chronicles present a religious history of the Davidic dynasty of Judah. 1 Chronicles begins with the royal line of David.
Saul died for his unfaithfulness in keeping the word of Yahweh. What is the second reason given in 1 Chronicles for his death?
Name the man who together with Uzzah drove the cart transporting the ark from Abinadab's house.
What challenge of David's did Joab pursue that resulted in his being made captain of the army?
Once David was established in Jerusalem, he took more wives. Thirteen children are named from these marriages. Name the two most prominent.

After Yahweh struck Uzzah, David was afraid to move the ark to the City of David. In whose care did he leave it, and how long did it remain there?
It was David's desire to build a permanent house for the ark of the covenant. But it was not to be. Yahweh told David that one of his sons would build it. Name him.
Even though David would not build a house for the ark, Yahweh would build a house for him. Of what would this house consist?
