News: I'm pleased you decided to visit the Rediscovering the Bible Forum. The launch date was January 10, 2008, and I hope to see it grow. Please register so you can begin posting messages. I truly hope the papers and materials on our Web site and this forum help increase your knowledge of the Bible and theology. The doctrine of the millennium is inexcusably ignored in many churches, yet it is a central doctrine of the Bible and particularly relevant today as we consider our relationship to the State of Israel. Daniel and the Latter Days by Dr. Robert D. Culver is one of the finest presentations of premillennialism available. He gives a careful and precise definition of the doctrine and a thorough yet concise defense of it. The arguments are unassailable. John J. Scruby in his book, The Great Tribulation: The Church's Supreme Test, discusses the origin, nature, and effect of the pretribulation-rapture theory. His critique includes a discussion of the arguments used to support this view. We have reproduced the entire book, originally published by Scruby in 1933.
