Old Testament Chronology Quiz

Part 1

Creation to David

It may take you several times to master Parts I and II of this Old Testament quiz, but don't let that discourage you. Once you have mastered both, you will have a solid grasp of the chronology of the entire Old Testament period.

DIRECTIONS FOR CHRONOLOGY QUESTIONS: For the questions to follow, first click "Activation" button. Then place the mouse on the event you want to move.   1. Put the following five events in proper chronological order.

    • Joshua conquers Jericho.

    • Samuel becomes the last judge of Israel.

    • Samson is Israel's champion against the Philistines.
    • Esau sells his birthright to Jacob.

                     

  3. Put the following five events in proper chronological order.

    • Yahweh makes a covenant with King David.
    • Moses delivers his people after 400 years of bondage.
    • Ruth marries Boaz.
    • Man's sin at the Tower of Babel brings judgment from God.
    • Adam sins and is cast out of the Garden of Eden.

                     

  4. Put the following five events in proper chronological order.

    • Joseph is sold by his eleven brothers and becomes a slave in Egypt.
    • God's people demand a king, and Saul is anointed.
    • Noah and his family begin a new generation of mankind.
    • The Israelites cross the Jordan under Joshua.
    • Jacob, his sons, and their families sojourn in Egypt.
