The Prince of Preachers
Spurgeon is known mostly for his sermons. However, he also wrote a three-volume study of the Psalms called The Treasury of David. Although not a technical commentary per se, it is larger than most commentaries on the Psalms and contains much helpful expository material, especially for preachers, and many hundreds of quotations that Spurgeon assembled from other writers. After reading through The Treasury of David, Carol has selected some of the best of these insights, at least one from each Psalm.
